Second Vote System

What is a Second Vote?

When a film’s status changes to “To Discuss” (marked by multiple jury votes), it opens for a second round of voting:
Second votes allow you to revise your evaluation after seeing other jury members’ feedback or further deliberation.

How to Cast a Second Vote

  1. Open a film marked with the “Second Vote Open” badge
  2. Review your previous vote in the “Vote History” section
  3. See how many times you’ve modified your vote
  4. Submit a new vote with updated feedback
Second votes are only available when the film’s status is “to_discuss”. If voting is closed, you’ll see a message indicating that second votes are not yet open.

Collaborating with Other Jury Members

Understanding Film Status

Films progress through different stages based on collective jury votes:
1

2

To Discuss

Multiple jury members flagged this film for further discussion.
3

Candidate

4

Selected/Finalist

When films enter “To Discuss” status, review other jury members’ feedback to inform your second vote.

Award Promotion

For films in the second vote stage with high ratings:
If you’ve submitted a second vote and the film qualifies, you’ll see a “Promote to Candidate” button. What this does:
  • Marks the film as an award candidate
  • Moves it to a higher selection stage
  • Allows you to add an admin message explaining the promotion
This action is typically reserved for exceptional films that stand out in the second voting round.
